Adults prefer to play with guns, gas capsules and ways of killing.
They play with death.
This is a game for adults.
There are 350 colored concrete blocks in this game.
Each block is 8 kilos.
Each block is 20x20x20 cm (the size of this book).
They are red, yellow, blue, green and violet.
Gas capsules are evidence of the brutal harm that was done by adults.
One of every two – three blocks has a used gas capsule hidden inside.
It is important to preserve.
If adults ever do want to play this game...
...and find the gas capsules hidden inside the blocks,
they are to search every single one of them.
They could hammer the blocks.
They could drill in the blocks.
They could x-ray the blocks.
Creative thinking will help them find a creative solution.
Adults are familiar with this game.
It just has color in it.
Color Blocks For Adults is a body of work from the project "i feared".
“i feared”
in june 2013
during the Gezi Park demonstrations
in Taksim Istanbul
police had used excessive force
brutally exhausting, in a matter of days,
gas capsule stocks
initially estimated for use to last over three years
the project “i feared” is based on the dread i was compelled to learn to embrace
upon collecting 30 kilos of used gas capsules
at a point in time where it was dangerous to gather evidence of these atrocities
let alone exhibit them to a wider audience
